We offer a range of price levels, starting from a basic flat fee and moving to an hourly rate.
For a flat fee of $50 (take $10 off if you'll let us put the theme up on themes.powerblogs.com when we're done), we'll design your blog template for you. We'll discuss what you want via email, then implement it. This covers designing the layout, color scheme, element presentation, and using without modification any images which you provide. The designs will be XHTML 1.0 compliant. This means that they will look great on modern browsers (Internet Explorer 6 or above, Netscape 6 or above, Mozilla, and Opera) and will degrade gracefully on older browsers with fewer capabilities. Please note that modern browsers make up well over 90% of the browsers used today.
If your needs are relatively humble but you want a few, you can purchase a flat fee design and add on services.
If you have pictures that you want to use but need them to be cropped, color-adjusted, touched-up, made suitable for use as a background, or otherwise processed, we can do that for you. We can also do transparency effects. Image processing costs $25/hour and we charge for fractional hours in 5 minute increments. We will provide an estimate of how long the work will take before starting.
If you want dynamic menus, the ability to show and hide portions of your page, popups, or other, we can make them for you. DHTML development costs $30/hour and we charge for fractional hours in 5 minute increments. We will provide an estimate of how long the work will take before starting.
For larger projects that involve design, image processing, DHTML, CGI, incorporation into an existing site, or other web services, we offer a free initial consultation to assess the scope of the project, and then charge $30/hour for all services.
