If you already have a blog and want to pick up on powerblogs where you left off on your old blog, we want to help. For a one-time fee of $60, we will move your posts and at your option your site design over to powerblogs (that is, we will adapt your site design from your previous blog to the powerblogs template format if you want us to for no additional charge to the moving fee).
We will require your username/password on your current blogging software. If this is unavailable or you are using an esoteric or custom content management system, there will be a $25 adaptation surcharge to cover the cost of any scripts which need to be written to accomplish the importation. The need for custom scripts is rare, however, as most blogging software which provides customizeable templates can be imported using our normal software.
This service is not the only way import your blog. The scripts that we use to perform the imports are available free of charge to all of our subscribers. Our fees are not for running the software, but for our time and effort to do the import. We know of at least several users who have successfully used the scripts for free — they're well documented and user-friendly. We offer this service for people who simply don't want to get their hands dirty with any technical details. Like with cars or home repairs, you can save money by doing it yourself, but many people would rather spend their time doing other things.
